Frequently Asked Questions*

*nobody asked actually but anyway

Q: Who are you?

I'm Cipher. I'm a dog and a boy and agender. I like arranging things, playing with language, and Little Big Planet. I'm also a trans girl. My current hobbies are programming and thinking a lot. I also do other activities sometimes.

Q: what

I roleplay as one of my fursonas (and sometimes other fursonas) on this site because it feels like the most comfortable and authentic way to express myself on here.

woof woof woof

Q: So, is everything you say just pretend?

When I use the word "I" throughout this site, that may either apply to the entirety of my brain or just the part of the brain that is Cipher. It's deliberately ambiguous because sometimes I cannot really tell. I'm sorry I know it's confusing. That said, nothing I say is "playing pretend". I'm not playing a persona. Cipher is me. It's just that there are also other mes that may have different opinions on the matter.

Q: Are you plural?

I don't believe I qualify for the symptoms of any dissociative disorder. What I'm doing may or may not fall under the umbrella of plurality. I haven't really looked into that.

Q: Are you furry?

Yes.

Q: How should I refer to you?

If you are talking about/with me as in the webmaster of this site, you can call me Cipher, either he/him or she/her is fine.

If you are talking about/with me in other contexts, default to my actual name and she/her.

Q: Why not just write as yourself? This all seems like you're making a fuss out of nothing / doing it for attention.

Wow, these questions about identity sure are piling up. Obsessed much?

Anyway, some insight into why I am doing this:

Q: Why are pages numbered like this on the sitemap?

It's a nod to one of my favorite puppyhood TV shows, The Little Prince (2010), which I suppose really means it's a nod to one of my favorite puppyhood books, The Little Prince (1943).

I am really obsessed with the way each planet has its own style, geography, culture etc., while still fitting into a cohesive anthology series. I made star charts of where each planet was located geographically. I hate when people make cookie-cutter websites where each idea and piece of content is styled and structured exactly the same way, yet I still value the aesthetics of a well-organized collection. I might go with a different system down the line but this feels perfect right now.

Q: What is that font?

This is APL333, the non-monospace version of the classic APL typeface. It's my favorite font in the world right now because it's readable and unobtrusive yet distinctive and most importantly very cute :3

Q: What software are you using?
